President Rodrigo Duterte declared an “enhanced community quarantine” in Luzon to respond to the growing COVID19 cases. Right now, businesses are closed with almost no public transportation options for the masses.
With the shut down of businesses, income is also limited for most people. But our bills don’t stop. Do you risk it and go outside just to pay your bills?
Senator Bong Go suggested the early release of proportional 13th-month pay and a one-month suspension of bills. He also proposed a moratorium (or temporary prohibition) of rental fees and flexible work arrangements.
The private sector reached out to help. Some extended the deadline for payments. Here are as follows:

After the shocking tremors from Taal, we are yet to find another threat to our wellbeing. This time, it’s silent but can be deadly if left unchecked. A new Coronavirus has been spreading from China and might start to become a pandemic across the world.
What is Coronavirus?
A coronavirus is a type of virus that affects the respiratory tracts of humans. Examples are the common cold and pneumonia. Way deadlier types are SARS (with 10% fatality) and MERS (30% fatality), killing hundreds in the world.
Right now, a new strain dubbed as the “Novel Coronavirus” has surfaced from Wuhan City, China. Having at least 56 confirmed deaths and might have affected 100,000 all over the world (as of January 27, 2020).
It is believed that the virus originated in a wet market selling wild animals like wolf pups and civet cats alongside regular produce. Wuhan City is now on lockdown.
Coronaviruses are zoonotic diseases that are passed from animals to humans. The animals act as reservoirs of the virus until humans contract them. For example, SARS was believed to originate from bats and spread to civet cats. And it mutated to a deadly virus ailing over 8000 people with 774 casualties.
What We Currently Know
The good news is the Novel Coronavirus is not yet as strong as SARS or MERS. The bad thing is it is spreading out, possibly from person-to-person. As it spreads, it can possibly get stronger with every victim.
Some people who have been diagnosed are reported saying that they have not visited the now shutdown and sanitized market.
With the coming Lunar Chinese New Year, Chinese nationals are expected to travel globally to celebrate. If the extent of infection is viral, this could mean an increase in cases over the weekend.
Although the WHO says it’s too early to consider a global public health emergency, the international community is doing measures to prevent the spread.
A Coronavirus vaccine team from the University of Queensland is now working to create one in as short as 16 weeks. But until then, what are the dangers we are facing?
The Threat in the Philippines
A flight from Wuhan arrived in Kalibo just before the ban. 141 Chinese nationals are onboard Royal Air flight RW 999. As of the moment, there are no confirmed cases of the virus with them.
The Philippines is now protecting our fellowmen by suspending flights from Wuhan City. Thermal scanners are also placed in our airports to prevent infected individuals from spreading the disease.
What You Should Do
But as responsible citizens, you can’t leave everything to chance. You have to do something to protect you and your family’s welfare. These are tips you can follow:
Avoid People with Respiratory Illness
If you see someone coughing or someone sick, don’t get close to them. You are risking the chance of contracting the disease. Even if they are your close friends, stay away at least for now.
Avoid Touching your Eyes, Nose or Mouth
We don’t get the illness from merely inhaling. Sometimes, it’s what we touch. The sick might have coughed directly to a table, and you accidentally touched it. Avoid getting it by not touching your eyes, nose, or mouth as much as possible.
Wash Your Hands with Soap and Water
Clean hands will protect you from this viral threat. Make sure to wash your hands with soap and water for at least 20 seconds. Secure your health by being cautious about your hygiene.
Use Surgical Masks
Even for freelancers, you might need to go out of your home office from time to time. Use surgical masks to avoid airborne viruses. It’s a simple way to protect your wellbeing.
Avoid Animal Markets
Especially for those with weak immune systems, it’s best to avoid animal markets. Again, the coronavirus is transmitted from animals to humans. You might be more susceptible to strong strains of these viruses with your condition. Better be safe than sorry.
Cook Meat and Eggs Thoroughly
Meat and eggs can be a source of viruses, especially raw ones. Cooking your meat thoroughly will kill most of the viruses and bacteria. Make sure to do this to avoid any complications.
With that, we can prevent ourselves from becoming victims. Stay safe.
Last Sunday, a sudden calamity hit the Philippines. After close to 45 years of being dormant, the Taal volcano has erupted with no pre-eruption signs like tremors. Right now, residents around Taal and Batangas are evacuated to safer places.
The problem is volcanic ashfall is now combined with the air plaguing as far as Bulacan. Ashfall might contain very fine volcanic rock fragments that might enter the lungs. Think of it like inhaling ultra-small shards of glass damaging your lungs.
And we need to protect ourselves from the hazardous effects of it.
In general, ashfall can cause eye irritation, skin problems, nasal irritation, sore throat, and dry cough. For those with respiratory diseases such as Bronchitis and Asthma, it may further aggravate your conditions.
With that, here are what-to-do checklists for volcanic ashfall you should be prepared for:
Refrain from Going Out of the House
The best defense is not going outside of your house. When inside, there is less chance that you will be exposed to the ashfall.
Keep the Doors and Windows Closed
But staying in the house doesn’t mean ashfall can’t go inside. It’s best to keep all the doors and windows closed in your house. As an extra measure, you can place damp towels at the door and tape the openings.
Ashfall may cause water contamination. You need to be ready with drinkable water for at least 72 hours. Also, clean water is essential for those three days.
To add, it would be best to have some emergency food supplies, canned goods, and medicine just in case you can’t go outside anymore.
Use Face Masks
It’s best to use face masks to avoid inhaling harmful substances. The nest would be N95 masks. But just in case you can’t, you can use a surgical mask with two folds of tissue inside it.
Use Glasses/Goggles and Clothing that Limits Skin Exposure
But there are cases that we need to go outside. For your protection (in addition to face masks), use glasses or goggles and clothing that limits skin exposure. In this way, you are able to protect yourself from ashfall contact with your body.
Keep Your Pets Inside
Your pets are not safe from ashfall. Make sure to let them stay inside because they might ingest the harmful particles when they groom themselves.
You need to be careful when driving during an ashfall. Your visibility is lesser, so slow down, especially when you’re at the expressway.
For emergencies, please save these safety hotlines:
- National Emergency Hotline – 911
- Philippine National Police – 117
- NDRRMC – (02) 911-1406, (02) 912-2665, (02) 912-5668, (02) 911-1873
- PHIVOLCS – (02) 426-1468 to 79, local 124/125
- Philippine Red Cross – 143, (02) 527-0000, (02) 527-8385 to 95
- DSWD Disaster Response Unit – (632) 931-81-01 to 07, local 426
- Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) – (02) 8426-0246
With that, we should all stay safe either outdoors or indoors during these trying times.
Digital marketing is a growing field where Filipino freelancers thrive. More and more companies need to be present online to sell their products or services effectively — the reach of which has enormous potential. It can increase sales significantly, even with less marketing budget.
But as the reach grows, also the changes in digital marketing trends. We need to adapt to take advantage of opportunities in the digital space. With that, the top 8 digital marketing trends you should prepare for 2020.
Voice Search Trends
As people use more smart assistants more like Alexa, Siri, and Google Assistant, marketers should be ready to use keywords related to how people do voice searches. It may not happen yet in the Philippines, but the trends are already happening abroad.
It is expected that 50% of internet searches will be voice searches by 2020. With this, learning voice search SEO might be a good topic to learn for 2020. You check out this article by Neil Patel for more information.
The Rise of Chatbots
Chatbots are growing in prominence in digital marketing. As a business, we need to be there for our customers when they need assistance or inquiries. But we may not be available all the time. Or maybe you are just tired of answering the same questions over and over again.
That’s why chatbots are important because it allows us to answer common questions. It frees our time to do other essential tasks, such as creating content. It’s also available 24/7.
Some well-made chatbots can even help a client with an item refund (I have with AirAsia’s chatbot!). And quite fast too. With all the benefits, the use of chatbots in digital marketing will continue to increase in 2020.
Shoppable Experiences in Social Media and Websites
Have you seen any Instagram posts of clothes or items that you just wanted to buy but don’t know where to get? Where is the link to their website? Who will I contact?
This will change as social media platforms and websites introduce “shoppable experiences” in the content itself. Your customers can now buy products straight from images and videos. It will lessen the steps before you make a sale because they can directly get the item when they see it in your social posts.
It can potentially boost your company’s sales with just this simple concept.
Tapping Micro-Influencers in your Niche
Influencer Marketing is an effective way of selling your products through the influence of a famous personality. An influencer can entice their followers to buy your product just because they have the credibility to their following.
But as an influencer grows in followers, the engagement towards them can be thwarted. I mean, if you have 1 Million followers, you can’t actually expect to engage with most of them. And they are expensive.
That’s why micro-influencers are becoming popular. Micro-influencers are accounts with around 2000 – 30,000 followers, usually specializing in a specific niche.
As a comparison, celebrity Justin Bieber has 125 Million followers with an engagement rate of 0.36%. Based on InfluenceMarketingHub.com, the estimated cost per post is around $247,462 – $412,436.
Micro-influencers have an average of 4% engagement rate, which usually costs significantly lower. If you have the same budget, you can get multiple micro-influencers to promote your product.
In the era of social media, there is numerous content that is aspirational but not personal enough to impact our target market.
Video log or Vlog allows people to relate to who you really are. People are clamoring for authenticity over the superficial. That’s why vlogging has changed the content landscape for digital marketing.
When people can relate to you and trust you, you can offer them products and services more effectively. To boot, videos are easier to consume with around 5 to 10 minutes on average time than a 2000 word blog.
It will continue to be in-demand for 2020.
Another growing trend is podcasting. You may not have the time to read an article or watch a video, but you may listen to podcasts as you do other stuff like driving or cooking. People may be stuck in their commute (Hello EDSA!) using their phones more often.
This made podcasting a tool to reach more potential clients. It boasts of high engagement rates and non-skipping of ads.
It’s relatively easy to make. You just need to record talks or a particular series that you can place your product with. Upload in a notable platform, and you’re good to go.
Bite-Sized Educational Content
The attention span of our customers is lessening every year. With all the content that can distract us, bite-sized educational content can help our digital marketing efforts, especially when we are promoting products.
Yes, infographics are still useful. But people want to get the information they are looking for instantaneously. Creating snippets of content will help your digital content creation for 2020.
Gen Z is Entering the Workforce
The Gen Z are people born between 1997 to 2012. They are born purely when technological advancements are pacing up.
And most are entering the workforce, which means it’s a new consumer group that we can market on. Gen Z will comprise around 32% of the world population. If you are planning to tap this huge market, you need to adjust to what they want.
Because of numerous social media scandals in the last decade, Gen Z values authenticity and privacy in social media. According to Oberlo.com, they also have short attention spans with an average of 8 seconds compared to the 12 seconds of Millenials.
There is a need to study their behavior further to produce relevant digital marketing content designed for them.
With that, I hope you get to prepare yourself for the coming trends in 2020! Good luck!
Freelancing is taking center stage this 2020 as it becomes more popular among Filipinos, especially online freelancing. It may be because of the lifestyle choices that are now available to you. Or the money you can get.
But what does freelancing actually look like in the Philippines? Here is the state of freelancing in the Philippines, and what we know so far.
6th Fastest-Growing Market in the World
In the 2019 Global Gig Economy Index by Payoneer, it listed the Philippines as the 6th fastest growing market for freelancers in the world in terms of revenue. We are at 35% growth in freelancing just next to India, another large outsourcing hub, with 29%.
This means that the demand for Filipino talents abroad is rising. The global market recognized what the Filipinos could offer, and we should maximize it.
Higher Income Opportunities and Work-Life Balance
Professionals in the Philippines are paid less compared to our international counterparts. In that regard, foreign companies outsource some of their operations online to cut some costs but still hiring competent talent.
But even with the relatively lower pay, the salaries are still higher compared to what you can get in the Philippines. And the costs associated with working like transportation and food costs are saved when you work-from-home.
More than the money, freelancers can have much needed time with their loved ones or time for their passion projects (or both). The match made freelancing a viable option not only for the jobless but also for high calibre professionals seeking more income and work-life balance.
1.5 Million Filipinos are Currently Freelancing
And this number is growing by the minute. In an editorial by Senator Sonny Angara, he states that 1.5 million Filipinos are currently freelancing, and we have one of the highest freelancers per capita.
It is not only exclusive to the cities but also rural and poverty-stricken areas like Marawi. It can help those without access to the same opportunities in the Metro to live a better life without going abroad.
If other Filipinos can take advantage, why can’t you as well?
The Government Pushes Programs for Freelancing
The government recognizes the potential of freelancing. The Department of Information and Communications Technology (DICT) launched programs and training modules for aspiring freelancers in the Philippines.
Under the initiative Digital Jobs PH, the DICT spearheaded the rural impact sourcing technical training to help our fellow Filipinos get employed in the freelancing industry.
They are also trying to boost the slow internet speed in the Philippines, which will greatly help the community.
75% of Filipino Freelancers are aged 24 to 39 Years Old
According to a Paypal study, 75% of Filipino freelancers are aged 24 to 39 years old. It means that the current workforce now in their prime years are already embracing freelancing. The landscape of work will definitely be a lot different in the decades to come.
Job Instability is a Major Concern for Freelancers
Even with job flexibility, the major concern for freelancers is job flexibility. According to a Paypal survey, 92% of Filipino freelancers feel it’s a significant drawback. You might have contracted clients now, but there are months where you can’t get a client.
But the same survey suggests that having one more client is vital to hedge that uncertainty. And the best way is to build good relationships with different clients because loyal clients will be the lifeblood of your freelancing business.
58% of Filipino Freelancers Use a Freelancer Platform
58% of the Filipino freelancing community uses a freelancing platform to get job orders. It might be for convenience because the marketplace streamlines the process of acquiring clients.
The advantage here is that people haven’t ventured out in directly finding clients in different channels like LinkedIn, which may provide higher income. It’s a room for growth for both aspiring and veteran freelancers.
There you have it! The stats are mostly to our advantage. And it is expected to grow more for the coming months. If you are on the fence, try out remote working and see how it can help you. You’ll never know, it might be that big break you were looking for.
New Year is coming a few days from now. And why not celebrate the end of the year with a bang! Literally.
Watching the annual fireworks display is a spectacle you can enjoy with your loved ones. According to Neuroscientist Daniel Glaser, fireworks are a favorite by humans because they scare us. The bright flashes of light signal the amygdala of danger. In return, we experience dopamine spikes in our bodies — making us feel pleasure while watching.
Why Not Watch Over TV?
Experiencing the event in real-life is definitely different from your television screens. You can enjoy the energy of the crowd. And the anticipation with your family when the clock strikes 12.
And besides, even if you have a 4K TV, the colors will not be the same when you are there in person. If you don’t believe me, check out this article for the science behind it.
What’s left now is to join the sea of crowds in anticipation of the new year! Here are 4 free fireworks display spots in Manila!
Rizal Park has the iconic Rizal monument erected at the center. With the efforts of Mayor Isko Moreno to clean Manila, it has now turned to a landmark you can be proud of. And you will surely be proud to witness the fireworks display with our National Hero and Manila Bay at the backdrop.
Quezon Memorial Circle
If you think 3D mapping laser light shows and coordinated fireworks are expensive, you are in a treat. Quezon Memorial Circle offers both free of charge for attendees this New Year’s eve. Prepare to be awed by their performance.
If you like a free concert while you anticipate 2020, Eastwood New Year Countdown is perfect for you! It will feature top Filipino OPM artists like Ben & Ben, Careless, and Rico Blanco. As the night builds up, fireworks will start at midnight!
Mall of Asia
Our top Filipino TV networks are battling head-on for the best New Year’s countdown celebration. GMA will be celebrating in Mall of Asia with the event entitled “Countdown to 2020.”
See your favorite stars in one of the grandest celebrations in the country.
If you don’t want to go to these places, you can always do your firework watching in your neighborhood. Filipinos are known to celebrate the New Year full on!
Definitely, fireworks will be all over the place. It may not be as intricate as to the locations above, but what really matters is enjoying the view with your loved ones for 2020. Happy new year!
Are you enjoying remote working? Having location independence and time flexibility gives numerous advantages and options. With the freedom we enjoy, we get to experience work-life balance. You get ore time for the family, time for passion projects, travel around the world — the possibilities are endless.
But a lot has changed with how we do things, especially during celebrations. We are so used to physically working with ourselves. We question, how do we celebrate events again?
With Christmas fast approaching, here are 5 ideas to celebrate Christmas as a remote worker.
Go Out of Town, Out of the Country, OR JUST OUTSIDE
As a freelancer, you have been inside your work cave for just too long. Go out of town, out of the country, or JUST OUTSIDE! Get out of your house and relish the real world!
I know it’s weird to see actual people in the flesh. It’s a feeling straight from a dystopian sci-fi movie. But celebrating Christmas outside can be a good change of scenery for you and your family.
Visit a Place with Colder Climate
The Philippines is relatively cold during the Christmas season. But why not step it up a notch and visit colder places. Sometimes, a blast from your aircon is not enough.
Have a white Christmas in countries where there’s snow. Or if you want, you can visit high-up places like Baguio or Tagaytay!
Organize a Charity Celebration or Volunteer in One
The spirit of Christmas is not about gifts or the best Noche Buena feast. It’s the celebration of the birth of Jesus! And what’s the best way to revere Jesus than sharing our blessings to the less fortunate.
If you can, you can organize a charity celebration or a feeding drive this Christmas, or you can volunteer in one. It would just be a day for you, but it might mean so much for the less fortunate.
Visit Your Relatives or Friends on Christmas
Loneliness is a battle for every freelancer. I mean, we don’t meet anyone while working. That social isolation can affect physical and mental health. And Christmas is not the time to feel it.
Why not visit your relatives and friends this Christmas? Catch-up with your old buddies and enjoy the festivities with them!
Organize a House Party With Other Freelancers
The comfort of your home is such a difficult place to leave from. You are so accustomed to being a home-buddy while working that an hour away from your paradise is torture.
If you still don’t want to go out of the house, why not invite your fellow freelancers in your home? Play games. Socialize.
You get to meet your colleagues and friends in person as you celebrate the yuletide season.
With that, here are 5 ideas you can use to have a truly Merry Christmas! But how will you celebrate your Christmas? Comment down below! We want to know!
Everyone is busy. Even if people think remote workers do nothing doing, we juggle multiple clients. We work on our passion projects. We spend time with our loved ones. It can be a hectic week.
Yes! We have all been there. Your hours inside your “working cave” detached you from the outside world.
Admit it; your free time might just be this Christmas season! As you prepare, you forgot. Where are the gifts for my lovely remote workmates?!
Worry not. You don’t need to rush to the malls for that holiday sale battlefield (It can be gruesome!). Instead, here are 9 last-minute gift ideas for remote workers!
Cash and Gift Cards
In my opinion, if you don’t have the time, cash transfers and gift cards are the way to go! The problem with this is it might not be personal enough. But I wouldn’t mind the extra moolah. *sending bank details*
If only you can give the gift of knowledge, why not?! Surprise! You actually can!
With Udemy, you can gift specific courses that can help your fellow freelancers up their 2020 careers. And as of the moment, they have multiple holiday sales with prices as low as $12 per course!
I have learned so many skills from these valuable courses. The price is a steal! And you can now share it with your colleagues as well!
The world today is so fast, you end up drowning with tasks and responsibilities that burn you out. Meditation and mindfulness is a good practice to prevent it! There are different apps today to help you practice.
A spa treatment is perfect for us remote workers. A massage or excellent body treatment is a good refuge to let the stress out. And most establishments and discount websites offer online vouchers for you! It’s a gift your virtual office mates will surely love!
Music is the language of the soul. And now you can uplift the soul of your brethren with the gift of Spotify Premium!
Spotify not only is catered to your latest music playlist. It can also be a source for unlimited podcasts that can enrich your skill sets.
We are always alongside our trusty computers. Why not give something that can upgrade your co-workers’ work machines? You can choose from different computer peripherals in Lazada, Shopee, and other e-commerce websites and directly ship the items to them. Examples are:
- Computer Fan
- Second Monitor
- Ipad (!)
- New Laptop (!!!!)
You not only helped your friend but also did it at the comforts of your home! Sweet! (Please be my friend.)
Another gift you can give is essential oils and diffusers. You spend most of your time in your home office, why not relax while working with calming scents? Essential oils are the purest form of a particular plant. Depending on the variant, they even provide health benefits!
If you want your freelancer friends to feel happy without material things, one thing will stand out the most. Client referrals!
It’s hard to find money in this age. Imagine giving them a solid lead of customers? Prepare to receive a big THANK YOU for LIFE!
Love, Kindness, and Friendship
If you can’t afford anything to give, it’s fine! You can always offer your love, kindness, and friendship. If they are your real friends, they wouldn’t mind. Just look at the image above!
But kidding aside, don’t stress yourself with these last-minute gifts (if you really can’t buy one). Enjoy the holidays!
One of the biggest problems in remote working is loneliness. Remote workers are alone with their trusty computers, making a living in their home offices. But most don’t see enough people to socialize with.
The remote working setup is effective as to cost savings and productivity. But you don’t want to lose employees just because they don’t feel that they belong. After all, we are social beings. It will take a toll on our physical and mental health.
That’s why having events with your remote workers more than work is essential for the culture and productivity of your remote team.
Meet in Person If You Can
Nothing beats meeting in person. If you have the chance to arrange your schedules, do so. It will mean a lot when you are face-to-face with your coworkers. It will build more relationships for a better-growing company.
But not all can arrange such a big gathering. If you are a team leader or if you are a remote worker who just wants to have fun, you can suggest these 5 virtual party ideas for remote teams (especially for this Christmas!).
Arrange a Video Call Party
When your team is remote, you need to communicate online to connect. But not all teams do video calls. So for this specific instance, set a video call party for your whole team.
Arrange this schedule to be something casual for everyone. Let it be a chill session to unwind with the team. If you are generous, you can even send some “food money” so that their place will show the festivities.
Remember those themed-parties when you were still in the office? Why not do it at your virtual parties?! I know it may sound corny, but Isn’t it fun? (More so if there is a cash prize).
You can try out superhero costumes or national country costumes. Or if you are not receptive to those bizarre themes, just wear your Xmas sweaters.
So wear your Santa hats and feel the holidays while meeting everybody online.
Guess That Child Game
What’s a party without games?! And one game can make all parents happy is a “guess that child game!”
This is how you do it. Just send pictures of your children (or you as a child), and it will flash on the screen. The person who gets the most correct answers will win something from the team.
The Best Virtual Talent Contest
Another good idea is doing a special talent contest for your team. Showcase the hidden talents of your members in a fun way by providing incentives for the best ones. Also, let your team participate in choosing which is the best among all the talents shown.
You can sing, dance, or insert-you-hidden-talent. It will be a night to be remembered.
Christmas is the time to give your blessings. And the season of giving can be done online. There are shops like Lazada and Shopee to send your gifts directly to your coworker.
If you don’t know what they want, worst case, just give a gift card for them to choose the items of their liking. It’s the thought that counts, right?
At your party, you can also give yearly awards for your team. It can be both serious awards and non-serious. For example:
- Most talkative
- Most early
- Most productive
- Most enthusiastic
Just make sure to be creative and award the accolades that will resonate with your team.
These are just some ways to celebrate the yuletide season with your officemates. What’s your plan for the holidays? Share your creative ideas in the comment section below!
Last Nov 30, 2019, to Dec 11, 2019, the SEA Games 2019 was held in the Philippines with 11 participating countries in Southeast Asia. It’s a momentous display of athleticism and sportsmanship between our neighboring countries.
And with the success of the event, one can think of numerous lessons that can apply in our freelancing careers. With that, here are the 4 things we can learn as a freelancer from the SEA Games 2019.
A Bad Start Doesn’t Mean a Bad Finish
The SEA Games were plagued with controversies before its opening — the alleged overpriced cauldron, the politics inside the selection processes, and the numerous logistical mishaps of the organizers, among others.
The first few days flooded social media with humiliating stories. But our fellow Filipinos, especially those from the private sector, had the initiative to remedy the situation. No wonder it became a success in the end.
If you had a bad start in your freelancing journey, it doesn’t spell the end of your career. Refuse to believe that your circumstances today will spell your destiny.
You can always be humble to ask help from capable mentors to direct you to the proper path.
We Win As One
The blunders at the start of the event were remedied because of our combined effort. The mantra #WeWinAsOne resonated to the Filipino people. It doesn’t only apply to fix the mess, but also in winning the games!
The same way in freelancing. Find a group of like-minded individuals that can help you succeed in your career. Also, help your fellow freelancers if you can. It might be advising to those starting or recommending clients.
After all, the opportunities are abundant, and we can all win as one!
Saving People is More Important than Winning
But more than winning, helping other people who are in dire need is important. Filipino surfer Roger Casogay was awarded the Fair Play Athlete of 2019.
Roger Casogay saved the Indonesian athlete Arip Nurhidayat when he lost control over his surfboard.
As a freelancer, we might be tempted to treat everyone as a competition. But when we have abundance in our hearts, ironically, more opportunities come back to you.
Share your expertise with other people. You’ll never know whose lives you will touch.
Your Time Will Come
For the past 14 years, the Philippines didn’t win the overall medal count for so long. But the performance of the Philippines right now outshined every country. The Philippines garnered 149 golds, 117 silvers, and 121 bronze medals on the 56 games.
It goes to show that you will have your time. In your freelancing career, you don’t need to envy other successful people in your field. Instead, you should learn from them and work hard to hone your self.
Luck is opportunity meeting preparation. You will have your lucky break. With that, let’s celebrate our achievements and apply the learning in our careers!
